Complex planning with NoviaCura
NoviaCura, whose mission is to bring complete oral care to vulnerable and care-dependent people, is a full subsidiary of Van Venrooy Utility Vehicles in Oss, which produces special vehicles for the healthcare sector, including Dental Cars. Van Venrooy and Dockbite share a passion for technical innovation and superb, high-end finishing, which is why Dockbite is working with Novia Cura on a sophisticated planning system.
Good Planning is Essential
As a market leader in mobile dental care, NoviaCura wanted to make planning smarter and less labour-intensive. Existing planning tools were no help. The number of input factors was too high. Dockbite had to take into account the availability of the bus operator, the dental care professionals, the care institution and the client. During workshops with our designers and developers, new workflows and screens were drawn up. After this, we built a smart tool in combination with a planning board. This tool communicates with dental software applications via APIs.
Relieving Nursing Staff
NoviaCura does not want to have to rely on care staff to do the planning - the motto here is to relieve the burden. Based on the availability of staff and the desired periodic oral care, clients are scheduled on the basis of a smart recommendation system. This means that far fewer people are involved in the planning, and many unnecessary phone calls and emails are avoided.
